“Spiralink” Bus Terminal Hub

A bus terminal that serves as a passage while providing shelter. Spiralink is a tactile experience that promotes architecture responding to its inhabitants rather than the opposite. A single form that makes ease of the departure, awaiting, and the arrival of day-to-day transit in an autonomous world. Spiralink is an adaptable solution that can be integrated at bus stops anywhere that is in need of safer and more inclusive measures.

In the Fall 2022 semester, I was part of an inclusive architecture class where we were assigned to create a terminal hub stop in Friendship Heights Washington, DC. The hub asked for inclusive design suited for everyone while also enhancing everyone’s stop by adding architectural and design elements to the design for the profit of everyone.

All the work was done as a group in the CUA class ARPL 439 Inclusive Architecture in The Age of Mobility.
