“The Filter” Coffee Shop

The Filter is designed to engage people in the act of filtering. As you move through the site, you begin to get caught by the various events on the site. From the coffee shop, seating, or simply engaging with the landscape, pieces of the design begin to grab your attention pulling you off of the main path.

Assigned during the Fall 2020 semester, the coffee shop is located at 11th st. NW Washington, DC, and is surrounded by townhouses and small commercial shops. This modern style of design taught me how to create basic drawings in architecture, while also incorporating creativity and analysis into the design.
